Author Guidelines

GUIDE FOR AUTHORS

General instructions

  1. The manuscript is a research result, theoretical study or a conceptual of education-related disciplines and or teaching and learning in secondary education and special education setting;
  2. The manuscript is an original paper which has not been published, and contain no plagiarism, written in Indonesian or English;
  3. The manuscript is typed in Times New Roman 12, single spaced on A4 size paper
  4. The manuscript consists of 7500-10,000 words (12-16 pages), including references, tables, and images;
  5. The manuscript should be submitted via JGDD website http://jgdd.kemdikbud.go.id. Please contact the Editorial Board via jurnaldikmendiksus@gmail.com with regard to further information on manuscript submission.

Manuscript organization (see ‘manuscript template’)

  1. Title;
  2. Author's name and address(es);
  3. Abstracts and keywords;
  4. Introduction;
  5. Research questions and methods;
  6. Research results and discussion;
  7. Conclusion;
  8. Acknowledgments (optional);
  9. References;
  10. Appendices (optional)

Title

  1. The title should be written concisely and reflects the contents of the manuscript, and typed in bold capital letters in Times New Roman 14;
  2. The title is written in Indonesian and English.

Author’s name and address(es)

  1. Complete name, without title, and written below the title of manuscript;
  2. Multiple authors are written separated by commas (,) and words 'and';
  3. The address(es) is the author's affiliation(s), and written below the author(s) name(s), along with e-mail address(es).

Abstract and keywords

  1. Abstract is written in Indonesian (maximum 250 words) and English (maximum 150 words);
  2. The abstract should describe substance of the manuscript, including research questions and objectives, research methods, results achieved, and conclusions;
  3. Keywords (3-5 words or phrases) are written in Indonesian and English.

Appendices (tables and figures)

  1. Tables and figures do not exceed 20% of the total manuscript pages;
  2. The table number (Arabic numerals 1, 2, 3, etc.) and title is written at the top left of the table, in bold Times New Roman 12;
  3. The title of the tables is written in normal Times New Roman 12;
  4. The source of a table is written below the table, left side;
  5. Figures, graphs, plates, maps, and diagrams should be written as ‘Figure’;
  6. A figure is positioned at the centre of a page;
  7. The source of a figure is written below the figure, left side;
  8. The figure number (Arabic numerals 1, 2, 3, etc.) and title is written in bold Times New Roman, and written below the source of figure;
  9. The title of the figures is written in normal Times New Roman;

References and citations

References and citations are written alphabetically by using the APA Style Citations 4th edition (2010).

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. Manuscripts submitted must be the form of research, conceptual studies or the development of assistive sciences related to Indonesian Education;

  2. Manuscripts must be an original scientific papers, never been published elsewhere and contain no element of plagiarism;

  3. The manuscript is written in Indonesian or English;

  4. Manuscript consist of 12-16 pages including reference, tables, and/or images.

All submissions must meet the following requirements.

  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.
